Language of Teaching

Most of the courses are taught in Russian with a few others being taught in English. Majority of people in the country speak Russian but there are a few people who understand and speak fluent English. Courses taught in Russian require students to enroll in the preparatory school to learn the language.

 

Application / Enrollment Fees

This university has an application/enrollment fee of 75 EUR.

This university has NO per-semester registration fee.

The accommodation fee you pay depends on the type of room you have and is charged monthly. The rates are as follows:

Hall of Residence for International Students

Living on campus is an ideal way to transition to university life. The residence hall that hosts international students and local students studying foreign languages is located just a short 5 to 10-minute walk from main university buildings. Residents spend time studying alone or in groups, or socializing with other students. Each resident receives a dormitory ID card.

We offer fully-furnished double and triple rooms with shared common areas organized by sections; each section hosts ten students sharing four rooms, including two double rooms and three triple rooms. Each room comes with beds, a wardrobe, study desks, chairs, bedside tables, curtains, a fridge, and a wireless connection. Bed linen is changed every ten days.

Each floor has a study room and a lounge as well two kitchens equipped with electric ovens, a dining table, a cupboard, and a sink. Laundry room and international student center are located on the ground floor. Each residence hall has officially been designated as non-smoking, but each building has a smoking lounge. Outside the smoking lounge, smoking is not permitted.

The university support staff will make your life enjoyable, and security personnel will watch your safety around the clock.

Visa and Admission

The first stage to obtain a student visa to Russia is to acquire an invitation letter. It is also referred to as ‘visa support.’ After you secure admission in an educational institute in Russia, a letter of Invitation will be issued to you from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its Regional Office.

In case Regional Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not situated in the region where you plan to study in, an invitation letter must be issued by the University, Institute or College where you have enrolled for your course of study.

 

Do You Need a Visa?

Travel without Visa — If you are a citizen of Russia or live in a country that can travel to Russia without visa, then you can travel to Russia without a visa. For more information and further clarification, please contact us.

Travel with Visa — If you are a non-Russian citizen, you will need to obtain a visa at the Russian Embassy in your home country before your arrival in the country.

 

Education Requirements for Student Visa

Student visa to study in Russia is simple process. You apply for a student visa from the closest Russian embassy to you.

  • Once you have your admission/invitation letter
  • and have provided documents requested by the embassy.

There is no reason to reject your student visa application. In all our dealings, our students have never been rejected visa. But we have heard of a few students (not our own) who were rejected because they didn’t get the documents needed. But when they reapplied, it was granted them.

Document language:

All documents executed in a foreign language (except English) shall be accompanied by their translation into English. Translation of all documents must be notarized.

To be eligible for a Russian student visa you must fulfill the following conditions:

  • You must have a valid and signed passport that has at least two blank pages
  • Your passport must have a validity that extends the duration of the visa you are applying for by at least 6 months
  • You must have a copy of your Russian visa application form, completed and signed by you
  • You must have the original letter of invitation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its Regional Office or the University or educational institute where you have enrolled for your course
  • You must provide certificates of your current diploma or degree or educational qualification
  • You must provide proof of tuition fee payment to the University or College or Institute where you plan to study
  • You must provide an original HIV (AIDS) Test Certificate showing a negative result. The test must be a recent one and must not have been conducted more than three months ago
  • You must display your intention to leave Russia at the end of your authorized stay

 

Health Insurance Requirement

International students who study in Russia will need to obtain a doctor’s certificate confirming that they can freely undertake study in the field of their choice.

You will also need to be insured for the duration of your stay in Russia; this is part of your tuition fees.

Yes, you can work but about 90% of countries don’t give student work permits… However, students can work informally and part-time… But all governments and university do not expect students to depend on their possible employment to pay for their tuition and accommodation…

In fact, it not ever possible for students to study full-time each semester and work as well and yet be able to earn enough for their tuition fees and accommodation… Not possible…

They might be able to depend on their possible work for living expense but never for tuition and accommodation…

They can’t study and still earn enough for those kinds of stuff (unless they have their own businesses).
