Foundation/Preparatory School / Course / Program

Technical Preparatory Course takes place in the spa town of Podebrady. The course focuses on maximizing student´s chances of entering a faculty of their choice by preparing them to particular entrance examinations and improving their level of English (native speakers attend additional Czech language lessons instead).

No matter where you wish to travel to, studying abroad is not cheap. In fact, even studying in your own country is not cheap. But if you can afford, it is always advisable to study abroad. The Philosophical Faculty and Faculty of Informatics and Management are supporting their students (Master, Ph.D. mainly) with scholarships. Students usually obtain them for extra work for the faculty or great academic results.

There is a system agreed that universities can nominate their candidates for visa appointments at Czech embassies in some countries. It means that registered applicants can get their appointment within 2 weeks after registration from university. The system applies for example for Ghana, Nigeria, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, India, Egypt, China and some other Asian and Latin American countries.

 

Visa and Admission

For admission, an international candidate needs to have submitted copies of education documents, passport and legalized translation of all these documents during the application and admission process.

As foreigners would expect, it will also be required by the immigration department that travelers and international students have in their possession n Entry Visa before flying to the Czech Republic, along with an original invitation and original education documents.

The university will send an official invitation to study to the consular office of the Czech Republic at the residence country of a foreign applicant (for visa countries) and a letter to inform the applicant (for visa-free countries).

 

Do You Need a Visa?

Travel without Visa — In order to study in the Czech Republic, you will need to legalize your stay in the country. If you are a Czech citizen or live in a country that can travel to the Czech Republic without visa, then travel without visa to applies to you. For more information and further clarification, please contact us. In addition, visas are not required for holders of United Nations “laissez-passer.”

Travel with Visa — If you are a non-Czech citizen, you will need to obtain a visa at a Czech consulate in your home country before your arrival. Once you have arrived in the country, you will need to apply and obtain a residence permit before your visa expires in order to prolong your stay.

 

Education Requirements for Student Visa

Student visa to come study in the Czech Republic is easy to obtain. You apply for  student visa from the closest embassy to you.

  • Once you have your admission letter
  • confirmation letter from university (proof of payment of first tuition fees)
  • and has provided documents requested by the embassy.

There is no reason to reject your student visa application. In all our dealings, our students have never been rejected visa. But we have heard of a few students (not our own) who were rejected because they didn’t get the documents needed. But when they reapplied, it was granted them.

All documents executed in a foreign language (except English) shall be accompanied by their translation into English. Translation of all documents must be notarized.

In order to apply for a student visa to study in the Czech Republic, you will need to submit several documents. These documents include:

 6 months validity on passport — An International Passport or travel document

A sum in cash equivalent to the cost of leaving the Czech Republic for a country of the passport you hold or your permanent residence with a flight carrier (called “Deposit”)

Funds to cover your stay in the Czech Republic and a document providing that accommodation has been arranged for your stay.

A Health Insurance Certificate to cover the period of stay in the Czech Republic and the proof of payment.

International students who study in the Czech Republic will need to obtain a doctor’s certificate confirming that they can freely undertake study in the field of their choice.

This is the rule for students studying abroad…

Yes, you can work but about 90% of countries don’t give student work permits… However, students can work informally and part-time… But all governments and university do not expect students to depend on their possible employment to pay for their tuition and accommodation…

In fact, it not ever possible for students to study full-time each semester and work as well and yet be able to earn enough for their tuition fees and accommodation… Not possible…

They might be able to depend on their possible work for living expense but never for tuition and accommodation…

They can’t study and still earn enough for those kinds of stuff (unless they have their own businesses).
